Furth Inscription Dagger Identification Guide

To promote physical fittness amoung it's members, the SS established 10 Sports Schools. Officers and NCOs were encouraged to attend a six week course at these schools. Original SS daggers have been seen with an inscription on the blade reverse from the SS Sport School at Furth, located near Nuemberg. The inscriptions were added to the blade locally. Shown are examples of accepted original Furth inscription daggers. To the best of our knowledge, all the examples shown are original pre-1945 manufacture.
